Orthodox rockers hold fundraiser for victims of Moscow Terrorist Attacks
Moscow, April 7, Interfax – On coming weekend, Moscow rockers will give two concerts dedicated to victims of the terrorist blasts on Moscow subway, coordinator of the Orthodox Fraternities Union Yury Ageschev told an Interfax-Religion correspondent.
The event will take place in the Gartsuyuschiy Drednout Moscow club on Stary Arbat, 22 under auspices of the Red Cross and the Moscow Rockers Community. Hegumen Sergy (Rybko), the Orthodox missionary well-known for his sermons at bike and rock fests and Rector of two Moscow churches will speak before the Saturday concert.
The concert organizers urged compatriots to donate money to families of those killed and injured. “They are husbands, wives, children, sons, relatives…People need our support! State support is a different matter while human attention is extremely important,” they said in an address.
