Patriarch Receives President of Spanish Congress of Deputies

Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Illia ll has recieved José Bono Martínez, President of the Spanish Congress of Deputies.
The meeting was also attended by Zurab Pololikashvili, Minister of Economic Development, Parliament Vice-Speaker Rusudan Kervalishvili, Spanish guests and religious figures.
Mr. José Bono Martínez got interested with the Orthodox Church. Namely, differences between the orthodox and catholic churches have been discussed at the meeting.
Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Illia ll showed photos of one catholic church in Barcelona, which has not been functioning since 1980, to José Bono Martínez. The Patriarch asked the guest to hand over the church to the Georgian Orthodoz Church.
The President of the Spanish Congress of Deputies promised assistance to Illia ll. After the meeting the guests viewed the residence of the Patriarch.
