His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II visited a refugee camp in Erbil and met with the refugees.
He visited the Church of the Annunciation where he prayed the service of the Virgin Mary and then visited the diverse clinics for healthcare and medical assistance as well as dental care.
During this visit, he also visited the caravans where the refugees live and prayed for the sick and old people.
His Holiness was accompanied by their Eminences: Mor Nicodemus Daoud Sharaf, Archbishop of Mosul, Kurdistan and Environs, Mor Timotheos Moussa Al-Shamani, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Mor Matta Monastery, Mor Justinos Boulos Safar, Patriarchal Vicar in Zahleh and Beqaa, Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Vicar in the Patriarchal Archdiocese of Damascus, and Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director. His Excellency Syriac Catholic Archbishop of Mosul, Kirkuk and Kurdistan Mor Youhanna Boutros Moushe was also present and received His Holiness and the accompanying delegation in the Church of the Annunciation.
