The Feast of St. Hripsime and Her Companions

Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin – May 2016

On May 23, the Armenian Apostolic Church will commemorate the Feast Day of St. Hripsime and her Companions.

On this occasion, at 10: 00 a.m., the reliquary of St. Hripsime will be processed through the city of Vagharshapat, from the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin to the Monastery of St. Hripsime. Participating in the pilgrimage walk will be Members of the Brotherhood of Holy Etchmiadzin, students from the Gevorkian Theological Seminary, pilgrims, and the faithful.

At 11:00 a.m., a Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in the Monastery of St. Hripsime following the service of the blessing of the four corners of the world (Andastan). The Right Hand of the Holy Virgin Hripsime will remain in the Church following the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, for the faithful to receiving the blessings of the relic.
