I was deeply grieved to learn about the explosions in Brussels that claimed dozens of lives and inflicted suffering on hundreds of people.
By committing inhumane acts, terrorists try to impose an ideology of violence on the whole world. However, civilized society stands united today in the face of terrorism and resolutely speaks out against hatred and division.
The Russian Orthodox Church sympathizes with all those who lost their relatives and friends in the tragedy. May the Merciful Lord give them courage and spiritual fortitude for enduring this ordeal, and May He grant speedy recovery to the injured.
