Cairo City: Coptic, Syriac and Indian Orthodox Prelates served Divine Liturgy and Evangelion at Cairo, the Capital City of Egypt.
Evangelion was held in three different languages
H.G Mar Gregorios ( Indian Orthodox Church) in Malayalam
H.G Mor Theophilos (Syriac Orthodox Church) in English
Fr Dawood Lamai (Coptic Orthodox Church) in Arabic.
Metropolitan Gregorios Gabriel and Metropolitan Theophilus Kurikose & were in Egypt as a part of the annual Oriental Orthodox-Roman Catholic dialogue which ended on Friday. They were invited by Fr Dawood Lamai to attend the Coptic Liturgy.
It was a rare and blessed event. By God’s grace, it took place on the day of Shubkono, the day before great lent as per Indian Orthodox calendar.
