Jerusalem: Several reports suggest that the Jerusalem Patriarchate is willing to have a dialogue with the Patriarchate of Antioch over the disputes on the canonical jurisdictions in Qatar and affiliated areas.

These two ancient Patriarchates broke communion over the dispute in Gulf region.

Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem expressed his intention to reconcile with Patriarch John X of Antioch during the meeting of Orthodox Primates held last week in Chambasey, Switzerland.

Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria will mediate the talks with the support from Archbishop Chrystosomos of Cyprus. The venue for dialogue will be the Island of Cyprus.
