The Clandeboye estate Bangor, County Down, Northern Ireland, reveals far more than explained here. The Tsarevich Alexei Nikolaevich Romanov (1904 – 1987) survived here as well. He lived in Northern Ireland, near Collon, a community of Russian emigres there supported him along with Princess Marina of Kent, Maureen, Marchioness of Dufferin and Ava, The Tsarina’s Secretary, Count Peter Apraxine and his wife Dr. Martha Apraxine, Prince Alexander Lieven, and many others. He lived under the name Nikolai Chebotarev and worked for Sir Percy Loraine, British High Commissioner of Egypt and the Sudan (also ambassador to Mussolini’s Italy) who signed his Nansen Passport. The Tsarevich tutored Lady Dufferins’ son, Sheridan in French.*
