Catholicos of All Armenians Sends Condolences to President of France
On January 9, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; sent a letter of condolence to the President of France; François Hollande, for the act of terrorism committed against the editorial staff of the Charles Ebdo Journal in Paris, resulting in the death of twelve persons.
“On behalf of the Armenian Church throughout the world, the Supreme Spiritual Council and the Brotherhood of Holy Etchmiadzin, we convey our deepest sympathies and condolences to Your Excellency, the French people and the families and friends of those killed.
We strongly condemn the heinous act of terrorism and violence that has been exerted on the Christian world during these sacred days”, said the Pontiff’s message.
Praying for the souls of the innocent victims, His Holiness urged the international community to condemn terrorism in all its forms, for the sake of justice, peace and the strengthening of stability in the world.
