Archbishop Hanna holds prayers for the release of abducted Aleppo Bishops
26/4/14
Occupied Jerusalem, (SANA) Archbishop of the Sebastian Greek Orthodox Church Atallah Hanna called for prayer on Friday for the release of the two abducted bishops in Aleppo, Paul Yazig, the Greek Orthodox Metropolitan of Aleppo and Iskenderun, and John Ibrahim, the Syriac Orthodox Metropolitan of Aleppo.
The prayer came during liturgical celebrations of the baptism of the Christ.
The two bishops were abducted by armed terrorist groups in the countryside of Aleppo a year ago.
On the other hand, bishop Hanna and Head of the Higher Islamic Committee in occupied Jerusalem sheikh Akrama Sabri condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ violations of the freedom of practicing one’s faith by blocking Palestinian Christians and Muslims from accessing holy places in Jerusalem and other cities.
