UOC Primate Greeted Superior of Holy Entrance Monastery on His 50th Anniversary

On Tuesday, December 1, Father Superior of the Holy Entrance Monastery Archimandrite Damian Davidov celebrated his 50th birthday anniversary.
That day on the blessing of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church the divine liturgy at the monastery was headed by Archbishop Augustine of Lviv and Halych in concelebration of Archbishop Anthony of Boryspil, Bishop Panteleimon of Uman and Svitlovodsk, Bishop Hilary of Makariv, Bishop Ioasaph of Nova Kakhovka and Henychevsk, Bishop Alexander of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyy, Bishop Panteleimon of Vasylkiv, Bishop Alexander of Horodnytsia, the clergy of the Kyiv Diocese and other dioceses of our Church.
After the Divine Liturgy His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr conducted a thanksgiving prayer service, following which he congratulated Fr.Damian on his anniversary.
“Father Damian, today you mark your 50th birthday. This is the mature age, though far from the old age, therefore your serve all the time as you did before – loving God, venerating the Mother of God and all the God-pleasers. I heartily greet You and invoke the God’s blessing on You hoping that you will continue to rule the abode by the God-sent wisdom for the glory of God and Salvation of all people”, noted His Beatitude.
For the labours undertaken in the church filed the Archpastor bestowed the order of the Holy Hierarch Dimitr, Metropolitan of Rostov on the hero of the day.
Also the Primate bowed unto the main shrine of the monastery – the Wonderworking Icon of the Theotokos “Look Down On Humility”.
