The Church of the Moldovan Community in the UK was inaugurated in London

1/2/13

At multiple requests of Moldovan Orthodox Christians who live in London, UK, with the mercy of the Lord and the efforts of priest Nicolae Prescura, a big dream of Moldovans established in London came true – now the local Moldovan community has a place of worship, the church of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker.

“This blessed event brings us much spiritual joy, due to the fact that we now can participate in the Divine Liturgy celebrated in our native language, and at least for short time we can forget that we are away from home. We truly feel like home in the welcoming and warm atmosphere in the church”, says the event announcement of the Community of Moldovans in London, UK.

In his homily at this Sunday’s service, Father Nicolae spoke to the parishioners about true spiritual values, about the fact that we should not bind our hearts with the ephemeral richness of this temporary world, but rather gather a treasure in the heavens, working for eternal life in the HeavenlyKingdom.

Numerous Christians participated in the Divine Service, along with the Consul of the Republic of Moldova in Great Britain, Mr. Petru Alexei and his family.

Thank All-Good God for making us worthy of this great joy! We also thank Fr. Nicolae Prescura for his efforts in the inauguration of a church, according to our ancestral traditions, a place of worship and a place where Moldovans in the Diaspora can meet to socialize.

Yet another Phyletist Jurisdiction.  Orthodoxy talks of the Church being One, but it is manifestly not.  Well, that is how Anglicans and other Christians in the UK see it, and the Orthodox can hardly crtiticise them.
