Hincu Monastery celebrating its Patronal Feast

Embellished and dressed in feast vestments, the Holy monastery of Hincu welcomed Archpastors, clergymen, and lay Christians fromMoldovaand abroad, to celebrate the Feast of Saint Reverend Parascheva, Patron of the Hincu Monastery and of Moldova.
The clergy and lay believers, local, and those coming from distant areas, were welcomed with utmost Christian love and hospitality by His Grace Bishop Petru of Ungheni and Nisporeni and Nun Parascheva (Cazacu), the hegumeness of the Monastery.
Two Liturgies were celebrated simultaneously at the Monastery: a group of arch-pastors, including His Eminence Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chisinau and All Moldova, and His Eminence Agafanghel, Metropolitan of Odesa and Izmail, celebrating in thechurchofSt. Pantelimon, at the ground floor of of St. Peter and Paul Cathedral of the monastery, and His Grace Abrozie, Bishop of Neftekamsk and Birsk, a worthy sun of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, celebrated Divine Liturgy in another church of the Monastery.
Later in the day, the arch-pastors and the clergymen celebrated thanks-giving Te-Deum service. His Eminence Vladimir congratulated the community on the Feast, mentioning that at its 20th anniversary of reopening, the St. Parascheva Monastery of Hincu became a vivid example of spiritual rebirth, while the splendor and grandeur of the monastic architecture and order have become an expression of endless love of faith and spiritual beauty that has been inspiring two persons during these years – His Grace Bishop Petru and Nun Parascheva, who were helped by the monastic settlers and lay Christians to restore the monastery. Thus, in sign of high appreciation of efforts to restore the Monastery of Hincu, and faithful service in intensive social and moral-spiritual activity, His Grace Bishop Petru was rewarded with the highest distinction of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, recently instituted Order of Recognition, while the Elder Nun of the Monastery, rev. Parascheva, was rewarded with the Order of Church Merit, for long and prolific spiritual and administrative activity and total devotion to the live of Hincu Monastery.
Special words of recognition and gratefulness were addressed to Ex-President of Moldova Mircea Snegur, Prime Minister Vlad Filat, contributors of the monastery, and other officials and lay Christians present at the event.
