BEIRUT: Patriarch Ignatius Zakka Iwas has appointed H.E. Mor Philexinos Matthias Nayis as the Archbishop for the Diocese of Germany. The enthronement of the new Diocesan Metropolitan will be performed by the Patriarch himself in the monastery of Mor Yakob in Warburg. The date is yet to be fixed. H G Mor Philexinos Matthias Nayis has been the Patriarchal Assistant and Rector of Mor Ephrem Theological Seminary, M’araat Saydanaya. He was ordained as a Metropolitan in 2007.
