New Publications from Armenian Orthodox Church

With the blessings of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, the Publication Department of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin has published the books “Illustrated Calendar”, and “Arcadian Symphony” by Andre Jhidi.
For Illustrated Calendar, the TV program, “Children’s Bible” produced by Shoghakat TV of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, served as a basis for the publication. The book will provide children with information on different religious holidays of the Church, Church traditions as well as cultural traditions connected to Church traditions. The images used in the book are taken from artwork the blossomed in the centers of science and were created by illumination artists for hundreds of years, and adorn Armenian monasteries. In the “Illustrated Calendar”, the calendar up to 2021 of the movable Feasts of the Armenian Church is included.
At the end of the last decade of 19 th century and at the beginning of the first half of 20 th century, the “Arcadian Symphony” by famous French poet Andre Jhidi was translated from French into Armenian by Pargev Shahbazian. The re-publication of this book was sponsored by His Eminence Archbishop Yeznik Petrossian.
