The Patriarch of Romania Consecrated the Church of Saints Ioachim and Ana of Mizil
Sunday, 9 September 2012, over one thousand faithful attended the consecration service of the church with Saints Ioachim and Ana and Saint Calinic from Cernica as saint patrons.
The religious service was celebrated by His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church assisted by a group of priests and deacons.
In the sermon addressed to those present, His Beatitude emphasised the need to build a church for a community.
“This church newly consecrated is a gate of Heaven and a house of the Most Holy Trinity, as we have heard at the religious service celebrated. The Father built this church, the Son strengthened it and the Holy Spirit renewed it, consecrated it and deified our souls too. Once the church is consecrated, the souls of those who pray during the consecration service are deified too. We pray to receive the blessing of God and to deify our life, families and houses as well as all the activities pleasant to God. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit built the Church, read the chants of the consecration services, but with the hands of the generous diligent people who want to offer the greatest gift to Christ, namely a holy church. The church is the holiest place, the gate of heaven, the house of the Most Holy Trinity to take us to the eternal heavenly life”, the Patriarch of Romania said, as Trinitas Radio station informs us.
The place of worship was built from 2006 – 2007, and the painting recently finished.
