On October 28 the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church received a group of teacherts and pupils of the orphanage in the village of Rokytne, Kyiv region, at his residence at the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
His Beatitude Volodymyr wished the children to grow happy and to become worthy citizens of our country in future. Also in the course of communication with the Archpastor the children told that they were visiting the shrines of Lavra from the early morning, and the visit to the lavra Caves was the most memorable for them.
As a keepsake of the pilgrimage visit Metropolitan Volodymyr blessed the guests with small icons of the Mother of God of Pochayiv, gave them books of prayers as a present and treated them to some sweets.
On the part of the pupils and teachers the director of the orphanage thanked His beatitude for the great joy of communication with him and expressed certitude that the meeting would leave in children’s hearts the cheerful feelings that would help them in future.
