After the liturgy in the Antelias Armenian church, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I and Armenia’s Ambassador to Lebanon Ashot Kocharyan delivered speeches.
The Ambassador stated in particular that the severest ethnic cleansings, deportation policy and state-organized crime were perpetrated against the Armenians. Meanwhile, the international community has not given political and legal assessment of the incidents, and moreover, everything is done to cover and misinterpret circumstances of the crime.
International community should be aware that it was Azerbaijan to launch military aggression against the people of Nagorno-Karabakh. The Ambassador concluded his speech expressing hope that new challenges may be overcome when Armenia, Karabakh and the Diaspora are united, collaborated and devoted.
In his turn Catholicos Aram I stressed that Turks are attempting to continue their policy by various means. Aram I also praised high Bulgarian journalist Tsvetana Paskaleva’s work, in particular Wounds of Karabakh documentary movie.
