Catholicose to launch bi-centenary celebration of Bible translation lecture on Nov 24, 2011.

India/Kerala/Kottayam: The Presidium and the members of The Catholicate Centenary Celebration (1912-2012), has decided to host the Bi-Centenary celebration of Bible translation lecture on November 24, 2011 at Sophia Centre, Orthodox Theological Seminary, Kottayam.

Catholicose of the East & Malankara Metropolitan HH Moran Mar Baselios Marthoma Paulose II will inaugurate the celebrations at 11 am after the perunal service in the seminary.
HG Dr Pulikkottil Geevarghese Mar Yulios, Metropolitan, Diocese of Ahmedabad, is the Co-Vice Chairman of the Catholicate Centenary Celebration.

Invites have already been sent to all Malankara Orthodox Metropolitans to grace and bless the programme.

Rev Fr Dr Reji Mathew, Professor, Orthodox Theological Seminary, Kottayam, will deliver the key note address.

There will be a presentation on Bible translation and its significance till date at the Church level.
The floor will be open for discussion after the presentation. Jose Kurian Puliyeril will welcome the audience at the function. The function will end with a vote of thanks and benediction.Rev Fr Aswin Fernandis is the Coordinator for the Catholicate Centenary Celebration.
