Annual General Body Meeting 2011- OSSAE-OKR

September 11, 2011 – The annual general body meeting of the OSSAE-OKR convened on 10th and 11th September 2011 at St. Thomas Orthodox Theological Seminary, Nagpur. The meeting was presided by H.G. Dr. Yakob Mar Irenaios, The president of OSSAE, and H.G. Dr. Joseph Mar Dionysius, the president of OSSAE-OKR. About 70 delegates from the seven outside Kerala dioceses including the Gulf Zone attended the meeting. The theme of meeting was ‘Christian Parenting and Faith Formation’. The meeting started with a prayer followed by a Bible Study by Rev. Fr. K.V.Alias. Rev Fr. Dr. Geeavarghese K.,the Director of OSSAE OKR welcomed one and all to the meeting. The Chief resource person Rev. Fr. Dr. Bijesh Philip, Principal St. Thomas Orthodox Theological Seminary, Nagpur presented the theme in the first session. In the second session H.G. Dr. Joseph Mar Dionysius shared valuable insights about the role of Sunday School teachers in faith Formation. A business session was convened in the evening to discuss and decide about the future activities of OSSAE-OKR. All the delegates attended the evening prayer. A talent Night was organized where the Sunday School Award Winners and the Seminarians showcased their talents.

The second day of the meeting commenced with the Holy Eucharist celebrated by H.G. Dr. Yakob Mar Irenaios. The third and final session was led by H.G. Dr. Yakob Mar Irenaios highlighting the new challenges in Faith Formation. The Sunday School students who excelled in academics were honoured. The meeting was instrumental in enlightening the delegates about contemporary issues concerning faith formation in the upcoming generations and ways to overcome them.

Blessings Of the foundation stone of the Upasana, STOTS,Nagpur

September 11, 2011 – The foundation stone of the Upasana construction of St. Thomas Orthodox Theological Seminary, Nagpur, was blessed by H.G.Dr. Yakob Mar Irenaios and H.G.Dr. Joseph Mar Dionysius on the last day of the Sunday School Annual General Body Meeting held at the Seminary Premises.
