Тhe Holiday of Transfiguration in Trebinje, Hercegovacka Gracanica
Dear Respected friends,
Herewith we invite you to a gathering of the most respectable Serbs from Herzegovina and all around the world, which will take place on August 19, 2011 (the holiday of Transfiguration) in Trebinje, Hercegovacka Gracanica. Celebration of the holiday of Transfiguration, which is also Slava of Trebinje, will begin with the Holy Liturgy in the Cathedral Church in Trebinje, and end with a gathering after the evening procession, where there will be discussions about the past, present and future of Herzegovina.
Once gathered we hope to see efforts joined, and ways found to support the institution of Serbian families, to help the mothers who give birth to children, who give us new life. This would be our answer to all the hardships and evil doings, our way of confronting death with life so as to have this holy and blessed country filled with children’s laughter instead of sorrow and bitter cry.
With the blessing of our Lord, the Saint Sava and Saint Vasilije, we herewith invite you and kindly ask you to come to the gathering and with your contribution ensure that the future of the generations to come is taken care of in an appropriate and sensible manner worthy of the Herzegovinians.

The gathering on the holiday of Holy Transfiguration at the Hercegovacka Gracanica will mark the beginning of work of the Saint Vukasin Foundation whose role will be to raise and collect funds to support the families with many children, medical treatment of infertility, promotion of children adoption and preservation of traditional family values. The Foundation’s Steering Board comprises representatives of the Zahumlje-Herzegovina-Littoral Diocese, representatives of the Herzegovina municipalities, and the respectable members of our community. The Steering Board has adopted the Statute and the Book of Rules of the Foundation. The action has been supported by the President of the Republic of Srpska, Mr. Milorad Dodik.
One becomes a member of the Foundation by paying minimum BAM 1,000 on the giro account of the Foundation by August 19, 2011 (the Holy Transfiguration holiday).
