OCP Secretary Delivers Lecture Titled ‘Future of Pan-Orthodoxy and Orthodoxy Cognate Page Society’ at Saint Cyril and Methodius Post-Graduate and Doctoral Studies Institute

Moscow – Russia: Upon the invitation of the Saint Cyril and Methodius Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Institute, and in collaboration with the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate (DECR), the Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE Society presented a special lecture on the topic “Future of Pan-Orthodoxy and Orthodoxy Cognate Page Society” on 16 November 2023.

The lecture, delivered by Donn George Varghese, the Secretary and Spokesperson of OCP, and featuring the participation of Abel Mathews Alex, the Director of Public Relations and Information Services, was conducted for the Ancient Eastern Churches course taught by Sergei Alferov of DECR.

The lecture delved into the future of Pan-Orthodoxy, Christian persecutions worldwide, with a special session dedicated to the working and detailed study of the Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE Society.

This course was introduced at the institution upon the special interest of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia in 2023. It covers separate sessions on each Oriental Orthodox Church and the Church of the East (Assyrian). The course also encompasses a deep understanding of theological and bilateral talks between the churches and the Russian Orthodox Church.
