Cairo – Egypt: Archimandrite Isaac Tsapoglou Consecrated as the Bishop of Bujumbura and Burundi at Holy Patriarchal Monastery of Saint Savva Igiasmenou of Alexandriaon February 25,2024. Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria led the consecration.

Archimandrite Isaac Tsapoglou was elected by the Synod of the Greek Orthodox Church of Alexandria on February 15, 2024.

Bishop Isaac of Bujumbura and Burundi was born in 1967 in Kalon Agro, N. Drama. He has written numerus books including  “I loved, O Lord, the decency of your house”, “The life of the Virgin”, “The words of the Virgin”, “Prophecies about the Virgin”, “Hail bright of grace”, “The Cross of the Lord and the symbol of the Cross”, “Spiritual Reasons”. He was also director of Patriarchal School of Alexandria “Saint Athanasius”
