Ethiopian Orthodox Church to Cooperate with the Russian Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa

Moscow-Russia: The Ethiopian Orthodox Church will cooperate with the newly established Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa of the Russian Orthodox Church. Hieromonk Stefan (Igumnov), Secretary for Inter-Christian Relations met with Bishop Abuna Aregawi, the head of the External Chruch Relations of the Ethiopian Church.

They discussed several issues and the Ethiopian Church has expressed its desire to Russian Orthodox Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa.

It was also announced that the Russian Federation and the Russian Church will support and help the Ethiopian people who are victims of conflicts regardless of their religious affiliation.
