Kerala-India: Dr Ajesh T Philip Head and Chief Research Officer stated that border areas of Western Rite Orthodox research will be undertaken by Metropolitan Alvares Julius Research Project (MARP). According to Dr Ajesh, MARP will no more retain exclusive focus on the Western Rite Missions of Saintly Alvares Julius and Western Rites of Oriental Orthodox communion. Alternatively, it will also incorporate research works in the key area of Byzantine and Independent Western Rite Orthodox Churches.
This necessary change undoubtedly remains an essential part of more significantly expanding the considerable scope and specific focus of general Western Rite Orthodox research under MARP. Apart from the published articles, news updates, press releases, and other information from the canonical and independent Western Rite Orthodox Churches will also be published on the MARP the portal.
MARP was constituted in the year 2009, which is presently a project under the autonomous Center for Orthodox Studies.
