The Proclamation of the Homage Year of the Extreme Unction and Looking After the Sick

Romanian Church On 1 January 2012, after celebrating the Divine Liturgy and the Te Deum in the Patriarchal Cathedral of Bucharest, His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church officially proclaimed the year 2012 as Homage Year of the Extreme Unction and looking after the sick in the Romanian Patriarchate.
