The New Shrine For The Relics Of The Saint Patrons Of Iancu Vechi Parish – Matasari Consecrated By The Patriarch Of Romania
On 30 March 2013, His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of Romania consecrated, in the chapel of the Patriarchal Residence with Saint Martyr George as saint patron, the new shrine of the relics of Saint Martyrs Eustatie, Teopista, Agapie and Teopist from Iancu Vechi – Matasari parish of Bucharest. After the consecration service His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel showed that the initiative to value the relics of Iancu Vechi – Matasari parish represents a nice pastoral care for the faithful, as well as veneration of the saints who protect the parish church: “The present church is quite a new one, because the old one fell down – due to some technical disorder or major neglect – just when it was about to be consolidated. Once the church rebuilt the veneration of the holy relics had to be revived making a new beautifully adorned shrine for them
