Belgrade-Serbia: His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Porfirije received Mr. Zoran Anđelković, Director of the Serbian Post, at the Patriarchal Palace in Belgrade today to mark a significant milestone in ecclesiastical and national cooperation.
The meeting focused on the issuance of a special commemorative postage stamp dedicated to the 1,700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea (325 AD), one of the most foundational events in Christian history.
A Tribute to the Nicene Legacy
Patriarch Porfirije expressed his deep satisfaction with the ongoing partnership between the Museum of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Serbian Post. He noted that the joint preparation of this jubilee stamp serves as a vital public witness to the enduring legacy of the Nicene Creed and the unity of the early Church.
During the reception, Director Anđelković presented His Holiness with a special collector’s copy of the jubilee stamp, which serves as both a functional postal item and a historical artifact celebrating the great jubilee.
