Russian Monastic Delegation Visited the Monastery of Anba Begol and Anba Beshai in Sohag

Sohag – Egypt: Russian monastic delegation visited the monastery of Saints Anba Begol and Anba Beshai in the Western Mountains in Sohag (The Red Monastery) on  27 October 2022.

The delegation was headed by His Eminence Bishop Chigansky Leonty, Bishop of Szyransky, and included among its members Mother Julia (Kalida), the deputy head of the delegation, as well as a group of heads of Russian nuns monasteries, Tamav Athanasia, head of the Saint George Monastery in Hara Zuweila, and the monk Beymen, Anba Paula.

The delegation was received by Father Monk Abbot Antonius El Shenoudi, Secretary of the monastery, and a number of monks of the monastery. The guests expressed their admiration for the ancient monastery church.
