Budapest-Hungary: Katalin Novák, President of the Republic of Hungary, received His Holiness Pope Tawadros II and the accompanying delegation at the Presidential Palace (Budapest) on August 21, 2023.

The President of Hungary expressed her thanks and appreciation to His Holiness for accepting the invitation of the Hungarian government to visit Hungary on the occasion of National Day. For his part, His Holiness expressed his great happiness with this visit and with the hospitality he received from everyone in Hungary.

Pope Tawadros II Participated in the Celebration of the National Day of Hungary

The President of Hungary also gave an introduction to the geographical location of the Republican Palace in Budapest and that it is located in an area that Hungarians cherish, which is the Danube River region. At the end of the visit, His Holiness recorded a memorial speech in the register of senior visitors to the Republican Palace.
