Pope Tawadros II Serves Christmas Liturgy in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital

Cairo-Egypt: Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria, Primate of the Coptic Church presided over the Christmas Liturgy (6/1/2022) in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital located within the Cairo Governorate in the presence of President El Sisi, other dignitaries and several faithful.
“Don’t let anyone come between us or sow sedition. May God help me to be an honest and trustworthy servant for the nation and you. Let me tell you this, this country is ours and it’s big enough for all of us” commented President Sisi in his Christmas message.
On the occasion of Nativity, Pope Tawadros II received Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly of Egypt, Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of the Interior, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Osama Askar, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Dr. Hanafi Jabali, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Yasmine Fouad, the Minister of the Environment, Abdel Wahab Abdel Razek, President of the Senate, Karam Gabr, Omar Marawan, the Minister of Justice, the head of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation and and many others at the Papal residence in Cairo.
The Coptic Church celebrates Christmas on the 7th of January.
