Patriarch Theodoros of Alexandria and Prime Minister of Greece Paid Visit to Greek War Cemetery at El Alamein

Cairo– Egypt: His Holiness the Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa His Grace Theodore II received the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis at Greek War Cemetery at El Alamein on August 03, 2023. At the Greek War Cemetery, both paid tributes to Greeks who fell during the historic battle of 1942. After short prayers, Patriarch presented an icon of Saint Kyriakos the Anchorite to the Prime Minister.

This visit was made as part of the official visit of Kyriakos Mitsotakis to Egypt. Georgios Gerapetritis, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Nikolaos Dendias, Minister of National Defense accompanied the Prime minister on his visit to the memorial.
