Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE is a Pan-Orthodox Christian Society founded in 2007 and established under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955. Registration No: A.455/2010.

  • Meetings and Visits, Conferences, Honors and Awards

The Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE (OCP) Society honored the Department for External Church Relations (DECR) of the Russian Orthodox Church with the prestigious Order of OCP during a ceremony held in Kottayam, India, on February 24, 2024. The award was graciously accepted by Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, the Chairman of the DECR.

Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE collaborated with the inaugural Festival of Sacred Music of the Peoples of the Christian East, “Blessed be the Lord Forever,” which took place at the Tapan Museum of Church Art, Moscow, on June 2, 2024. The event aimed to celebrate the rich musical heritage of Eastern Christian traditions and foster understanding between Orthodox and Eastern Christian Churches. A special greeting from the OCP Secretary was screened at the event.

At the special invitation of Metropolitan Abraham Stephanos of UK, Europe & Africa – the Indian (Malankara) Orthodox Church – on June 16, 2024, OCP was featured in the Diocese of UK, Europe & Africa’s online series titled “EnChristo.” OCP Secretary Donn George Varghese gave a lecture on the “Future of Pan-Orthodoxy with Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE.”

At the invitation of His Eminence Metropolitan Hierotheos Vlachos of Nafpaktos, Greece, OCP Chairman, Dr. John G. Panagiotou, visited Nafpaktos on June 25 and 26, 2024. The visit included a special meeting with the hierarch.

On the special occasion of the inauguration of Metropolitan Samuel Theophilus as the head of the Believer Eastern Church, an OCP delegation made a felicitation visit to the Metropolitan on June 25, 2024. The meeting held thereafter was also attended by Archbishop John Mor Irenaeus of Delhi. The Believers Eastern Church is a Christian denomination with roots in India, known for its emphasis on evangelism and social service. Many individuals have journeyed with the transformation of the church from Protestant backgrounds to embrace the Orthodox faith, drawn to its rich history, liturgical traditions, and emphasis on the sacraments.

OCP News Service and OCP Media Network continued to publish the latest developments from the Orthodox Christian world. OCP continues its strong presence on platforms like Instagram, Thread, and YouTube.

  • Statements, Petitions, and Social Action

In 2024, OCP activities covered the ongoing crises in Ethiopia, Kosovo, Artsakh, and Jerusalem through several features.

  • Webinars and Videos

OCP YouTube continued its flagship program, “Orthodox World this Week” (Orthodox news in the digital space).

OCP YouTube also conducted an exclusive interview (February 2024) with Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate (Russian Orthodox Church). The interview addressed issues including challenges faced by the church in Russia, Ukraine, Estonia, and Christian persecution in Africa.

A special feature with the OCP Chairman covered pertinent topics of “Deaconess in the Orthodox Church” as a reaction to new trends seen in the Orthodox Church.

  • Networking and Associations

OCP Society joined with The Institute of Domestic Violence, Religion & Migration (IDVRM) as a partner. OCP also re-established its contacts and collaborations with the Eritrean Orthodox Church.

OCP Society collaborated and partnered with the First Festival of Sacred Music of the Peoples of the Christian East, “Blessed Be the Lord Forever,” which was held on June 2, 2024, at the Tapan Museum of Church Art, Moscow.

  • Academics

The Center for Orthodox Studies (COS), an autonomous center under the Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE, continued Level 01 of its “The Orthodox Epignosis” certification course and also started a Level 02 for the same. The course is led by Rev. Fr. Dr. Jossi Jacob, Chair of COS, as the chief resource person.

  • The OCP Society Leadership

The OCP General Body was held in May 2024.
