Crowds Queue for a Miracle of St Maximus
Photo Emona Tsoncheva 3/7/2011 Clergymen from different bishoprics attended the ceremony marking the 40th anniversary since the enthronement of Patriarch Maxim, Head of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church Thousands of believers gathered to touch or at least see the relics of St Maximus the Confessor. At 6pm the relics arrived from Varna to the Alexander Nevski Cathedral in Sofia and were welcomed by Plovdiv Metropolitan, Nikolay, the cathedral primate – Tiveriopol bishop, Tikhon and priests from the major churches in Sofia.
