At the assembly of monastic fraternity a new heugomen of Visoki Decani Monastery Elected

Serbian Church 8/6/2011 Following the solemn celebration of the monastery’s Patron Saint’s Day of the Ascension of Christ, in the monastery of Visoki Decani an assembly of the monastic fraternity was held in the evening hours, which was presided by Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren. Speaking of the life of the restored Decani brotherhood, which led it as heugomen for nineteen years, Bishop Teodosije pointed out that after he assumed his duties of the Diocesan Bishop it is necessary that the monastic fraternity elect a new heugomen of the monastery, who would take a direct responsibility of managing the Decani fraternity. On the proposal of Bishop Teodosije, the fraternity of the monastery unanimously for the new heugomen of the monastery elect archimandrite Sava (Janjic), who was in last 19 years work as a deputy of the heugomen
