Armenian Orthodox Catholicos Receives New German Ambassador

Yerevan-Armenia: His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, welcomed Claudia Busch, the newly appointed German Ambassador to Armenia, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

During the meeting, the Catholicos congratulated the Ambassador on her appointment and expressed hope for further strengthening of bilateral relations. He also discussed the ongoing geopolitical tensions in the region, particularly the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and prayed for peace and an end to the suffering of the Armenian people.

Ambassador Busch assured the Catholicos of her commitment to enhancing the friendship between the two nations. The two also discussed social programs implemented by the Mother See to aid displaced Armenians from Artsakh and the ongoing cooperation between the Armenian Apostolic Church and German Christian denominations.
