271 Orthodox Christians Killed within Twelve Months in One Diocese in Oromia, Ethiopia

Addis Ababa- Ethiopia: During the Annual General Meeting of the Parish Councils of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, the Diocese of East Arsi presented a shocking report that showed the gravity of the targeted killings of Orthodox Christians in Oromia, Ethiopia, particularly in Arsi Zone.

The report stated that in the diocese, in the district of Sherka within 10 localities 91 faithful, in Deju district in the locality of Burka Guracha 150 faithful, and in Gure Debino and Arjo localities more than 30 faithful were killed in twelve months. The report also indicated that more than 499 households were displaced.
