Addis Ababa-Ethiopia: Police gunned down a Sunday school youth named Zemedkun Amare in Addis Ababa on Sunday, April 3, 2022, after an altercation with Protestant and Islamic extremists who tried to take a plot of land belonging to Akaki Mahedere Sebehat Holy Trinity Orthodox Church.

There was a brawl with local orthodox youth, a few days before, after protestant adherents voiced with loudspeakers in a residential area, “The government is ours. We are Jesus Accept the Lord as your savior”. The persecution of the Orthodox and such events have become the norm in the era of the current leadership of the city and the country.
