Holy Qurobo on the Occasion of the Transfiguration

His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II celebrated the Holy Qurobo on the occasion of the Transfiguration and the Feast of Mor Gabriel at Mor Aphrem Church in Mor Aphrem Monastery in Maarat Saydnaya.
His Grace Mor George Kourieh, Dean of Mor Aphrem Theological Seminary, assisted His Holiness in the Holy Qurobo.
In his sermon, His Holiness spoke about the Lord Jesus revealing His divine identity to His disciples. He also reminded the faithful that the Lord asked His disciples Peter, Jacob and John to conceal His divine identity until His resurrection.
On the occasion of the Feast of Mor Gabriel, His Holiness also mentioned important points from this saint’s life, especially in relation to his role as the abbot of the famous Mor Gabriel Monastery in Turabdin.
