Fifth church burglary reported in Paphos

Thieves broke into a Paphos church and stole various valuables including €800 in cash, it was reported on Wednesday, making it the fifth church burglary in the past few days.
The theft at Ayia Anastasia in Kilinia was reported on Tuesday afternoon by father Stylianos Iacovou who told police the door had been breached.
Iacovou said two silver grails, a gold plated cross, one silver cross, three small icons, and €800 cash had been stolen.
The cash were taken from the donation box.
It was the fifth church robbery reported in Paphos in the past few days.
The thieves have so far netted over €10,000 worth of religious artefacts.
