Kottayam-Kerala-India: His Holiness Marthoma Paulose II (Catholicos-Mooppan, and Malankara Metropolitan) was put on Ventilator support amid a worsening health situation. The Primate of the Malankara Church is undergoing treatment for cancer at the St Gregorious Hospital, Parumala since January 2020.
Recently the Catholicos was tested COVID positive in February 2021. Medical experts are keenly monitoring the health conditions and provides regular feedback to the Church hierarchy.
