Distinctions for the Patriarchal Chapels

On 7 July 2014, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel awarded the Diploma of the Brancovean Martyr Saints, the Medal dedicated to the Commemorative Year of the Brancovean Martyr Saintsand to the Solemn Eucharistic year of the Holy Confession and Holy Communion, and offered the first volume of the book History of the Romanian Monasticism to the patriarchal chapels who support the construction of the Cathedral for the Nation’s Salvation, the Trinitas Radio and Television stations and the Holy Synod Library.

On this occasion, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel said: „We wish to award the Homage Diploma and Medal of the Brancovean Martyr Saints and of the Eucharistic Year, as well as the first volume of the History of the Romanian Monasticism, to the eight chapels as a sign of appreciation, encouragement and as thanksgiving too. We are glad because they better understand both Brancoveanu as great founder of churches and of Romanian culture, and all the founders who built and helped the monasteries in the country and outside the Romanian Principalities”.

The event was held at the Patriarchal Residence, in the presence of the members of the standing meeting of the Archdiocese of Bucharest.
