“Organization And Cooperation Are The Foundations Of Any Community” Stated Aram I In Kuwait

05/17/2011

On Tuesday evening His Holiness Aram I presided over the 50th anniversary celebrations of the school. In the end of the festivities, Catholicos Aram I said, “a diaspora community is not an agglomeration of individuals.

A community is an organic whole with shared history, identity and common goals. Therefore, it is imperative that the community in Kuwait organizes itself in such a way that all institutions work together and not compete with one another. He then mentioned three points: one, the 50th anniversary of the school in Kuwait demonstrates the will of the diaspora. Two, the school survived despite all difficulties because of the support of all the institutions within the community. Three, the memorabilia prepared for this celebration should be a reminder of the memory why the community was created and a symbol affirming our peoples’ will to live.

After the address of His Holiness Aram I, Mrs. Heranoush Hagopian, Minister of Diaspora in Armenia read the message of President Serge Sarkissian.
