Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia Mourned on the Demise of Archimandrite Joseph (Burjanadze)

Tbilisi -Georgia: Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia His Holiness Ilia II conveyed his condolences to Archimandrite Joseph (Burjanadze) who entered into eternal rest after serious injuries from the fire accident. Archimandrite Joseph was injured on January 16, 2023, from a fire that broke out in  Gelati Monastery.

Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia in his condolence letter addressing Metropolitan John of Kutatel-Gaenat expressed that, “we would like to express our sorrow over the death of Archimandrite Joseph (Burjanadze), who literally sacrificed his life to save the lives of others”.
