Catholicos Karekin II to Bless Holy Myron and Re-Consecrate Mother Cathedral

On Saturday, September 28, the day commemorating Saint Gevorg, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, will perform the blessing of Holy Myron at 5:00 PM in the open altar of Saint Trdat.

The following day, Sunday, September 29, which coincides with the Feast of the Varaga Holy Cross, the re-consecration ceremony of the Mother Cathedral and the Patriarchal Holy Liturgy will take place at 10:30 AM.

These ceremonies hold immense spiritual and historical significance for the Armenian Church and its faithful worldwide. They mark a new chapter in the life of the Mother See and reaffirm its enduring role as a center of Armenian Christianity.
