Coptic Orthodox Church Consecrated Two New Bishops and Enthroned Four Bishops

Cairo – Egypt: His Holiness Pope Tawadros II led the consecration of two new bishops and the enthronement of four news bishops on March 9 and 10,2024 at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Abbasiya. The synodal members co-celebrated with His Holiness Pope in the consecration.
- Hegomen Monk Ecladious the Syrian was consecrated as head of the monastery of Saint Anba Pachomious (the Shaib) in Luxor (Bishop Ecladious).
- Hegomen Monk Anastasius the Syrian was consecrated as bishop of the Diocese of Nag Hammadi and its dependencies ( Bishop Bidaba)
Bishops Enthroned include:
- H.G. Bishop Thomas, Bishop and Head of the Monastery of the Virgin Mary and Archangel Michael in Al-Bahnsa, Minya Governorate.
- H.G. Bishop Mikhael, Bishop of the Diocese of Helwan and its dependencies.
- H.G. Bishop Joseph appointed a new diocese in Africa that includes the countries of Namibia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Malawi, in Africa.
- H.G. Bishop Axios, Bishop of the Diocese of Mansoura.
