Moscow – Russia: The Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church with the report made by Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate Department for External Church Relations confirmed the appointment of Archpriest Igor Yakimchuk as the Vice-Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of Moscow Patriarchate on December 29, 2022.

Earlier, on August 25, 2022, Archpriest Igor Yakimchuk was appointed as acting vice-chairman of the DECR
