Primates of Churches in Syria Request UN and Other Nations to Lift Sanctions and Embargo on Syrian People

Damascus – Syria: Three primates of Churches in Syria including Patriarch John X of Antioch and Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II of the Syrian Orthodox Church with Greek Catholic Melkite Patriarch requested the UN and other nations in the world to lift the sanctions and embargos on the Syrian people on February 07, 2023.

The request for lifting sanctions and embargos came in as a result of the devastating effects of earthquakes in Syria in addition to Turkey.
